POETRY: Pieces of her

A disappointed young man. PHOTO/NHP.

This poem is about an emotional man who has been heartbroken and is now trying to move on and wish her ex-girlfriend well in her endeavors.

You found me in one piece

But you tore me to pieces

Threw my feelings into ditches

You ran after the riches.

I’m now collecting my pieces

As you enjoy your riches

I’m sowing my pieces

To be in one piece.

I choose my peace

I delete your me

I remain with my me

The me that chooses me.

Say hi to your Mr. Right

Perhaps he is bearded, unlike me

Perhaps fat, unlike me

Maybe a man, because I seem a boy

Bye, no hard feelings

Until we meet again.
