The ceremony’s emotional high point came as Principal Secretary Dr. Jane Imbunya, now at the helm of the State Department for Public Service and Human Capital Development, took the podium as chief guest. She shared a deeply personal story, tracing her own path from a lecturer at KAFU to its School of Education’s Dean, and now as a government principal secretary.
“If you remain disciplined, focused, and true to your calling, Kaimosi Friends University will transform you too,” she urged, her words a powerful reminder of the university’s ability to shape lives.

Opening the ceremony with a ceremonial procession and the national and university anthems, Vice Chancellor Prof. Peter Mwita reinforced a bold message to the freshmen: “This is a day of promise.
