Mozzart Bet donates medical equipment to Nyamira County

Mozzart Bet, a sports betting company, has donated assorted medical equipment to the County government of Nyamira.

The company’s country Chief Executive Offiver (CEO) Mr. Sasa Krneta said this will help boost the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic in the county.

The equipment worth over Ksh.3 million was obtained from proceeds of the firm’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.

“We are here to say thank you to the County Go1vernment for their cooperation with us.

This is why we have extended our hand in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic,” Krneta said.

He said the company will continue extending similar support to other counties.

“We will continue with the spirit of working closely with government institutions to better the lives of our people during this period,” said Krneta.

County officials said over 20,000 Nyamira residents have so far been vaccinated against the Corona virus disease since the exercise began in April.

However, Nyamira’s Covid-19 positivity rate is currently at12%, according the county director of health services, Dr. Silas Ayunga.

Dr Ayunga urged residents to turn up for vaccination at designated health centers.

“We are currently standing at closely over 20,000 vaccinated residents and I urge all of us to turn up for the jab,” Dr Ayunga said.

“We have more than enough vaccines in our various gazetted vaccination centers.”
