Shock as school burns in broad daylight

Property of unknown value has been burnt at Tonga Omonuri SDA Primary Boarding School in Nyamira South Sub County.

The fire that broke out at 11am Tuesday burnt a dormitory housing150 pupils.

It is not clear if an arsonist was behind the incident.

Fire brigades who arrived at the scene ruled out electricity fault as the cause.

This is the third incident in the school in a span of 7 months.

The fires have been targeting dormitories and luckily no death or injury incident has been recorded. 

In today’s incident, all pupils were attending normal lessons.
