Jobless teachers have been encouraged not to give up even when they fail to secure a chance after sitting for interviews.
This is according to the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) Makueni County Deputy Director, David Gutu.
Speaking at Makueni Boys’ High School where interviews for 15 different secondary schools were being conducted, recently, Gutu said it was time for those who did not secure a chance to go on with life as they wait for their chance to come.
Gutu urged teachers to keep on visiting TSC website for updates on any job vacancy and apply immediately if such opportunity comes.
“I call upon teachers to offer themselves as BOM workers since they can’t fail to get something for their pockets.
It will also help perfect their teaching skills and enable them to keep up with the current trends and standards of education,” he added.
He cautioned applicants against fraudsters who are out to con them in the pretext of securing jobs for them.
Gutu observed that there was no shortcut in government employment.
