Your Excellency, They Are Here! A Rhythmic Reckoning for the Conscience of Power

Your Excellency, they are here!

They move so close, they form your wall,

They stand so tall, they block us all.

They bow so deep, they chant your name,

Yet in their hearts, they play a game.

Clad in dazzling yellow, they stride with flair,

Their cars gleam bright—a gilded snare.

Deep within, like chameleons they shift,

Adapting their hues when fortunes drift.

They whisper tales, they weave their lies,

They paint false skies before your eyes.

They claim to guard, to shield, to guide,

Yet all they do is loot and hide.

Your Excellency, they are here!

And they won’t let anyone come near.

They sit at your table, feast on your trust,

Yet all they chase is wealth and lust.

They will tell you, “Jaja tova ku main,”

A phrase to mask the toll of time—

For they know well how you’ve aged and grown frail,

And are ready to let you see your achievements pale,

Undoing all that once was built,

Forgetting the law of diminishing yield and gilt.

And as you sip from the same sacred cup,

Remember, betrayal brews in every sup.

Those with whom you share each toast and cheer

Might be the very ones who smother truth so dear.

They tell you roads stretch far and wide,

Yet villages drown in dust outside.

They sing of progress, they preach of gain,

While hunger grips the land in relentless pain.

Your Excellency, they are here!

The sole beneficiaries, with hands clenched tight,

Gripping power with unyielding might.

They assure you all is well and grand,

Yet the nation crumbles within their hand.

They sign the deals, they fix the rates,

While salaries starve at broken gates.

They tax the poor, hoard the gold,

While schools decay and dreams grow old.

Behold those with full stomachs, bloated and bold,

Not the jobless, the hungry, the suffering untold—

These are the betrayers, gluttonous in greed,

Draining the wellspring of what the nation needs.

Your Excellency, they are here!

The men in suits with tongues so sweet,

Yet tread on souls with every deceit.

They preach of justice, swear it is true,

Yet courts obey only the chosen few.

They twist the laws, they forge the crime,

Caging voices that dare to outshine.

They claim that fairness rules the land,

Yet chains bind tight the common hand.

Your Excellency, they are here!

The men in boots, with rigid stance,

Saluting high in their orchestrated dance.

They swear allegiance, bold and cold,

Yet power’s price is relentlessly bought and sold.

They promise safety, claim complete control,

Yet shadows lurk and whispers take their toll.

They say the streets are calm and bright,

While fear stalks deep in the dead of night.

Your Excellency, they are here!

The prophets dressed in holy white,

Who vow to shine the guiding light.

They kneel, they bless, they pray, they bow,

Yet dine with those who steal and plow.

They raise their hands, they lead the song,

But justice falters—the line is drawn.

They chant your name, they sing your praise,

Yet in their hearts, deceit forever stays.

Your Excellency, they are here!

They stand so near, they block your view,

Showing you mirrors that reflect what’s skewed.

They guard their seats, fence in their gain,

While the people drown in unspoken pain.

And now, a question from your soul unfolds:

Did you not give your youth in service untold?

Now, as age creeps in with whispered regret,

Is it time to rest and bequeath your legacy yet?

For the mantle of vision must pass to the new,

A beacon of hope, steadfast and true.

Your Excellency, open your eyes and see!

Not through their lens, but through our plea.

The land is weary, the wounds run deep,

The promises fade while the people weep.

Your Excellency, they are here!

But the question stands, the time is near—

Will you rise anew or yield to their art?

For history demands that you now depart

The stage, and in your stead, let fresh vision gleam—

A legacy of truth, the nation’s redeeming dream.

Your Excellency, if you choose to stay,

Time’s gentle hand bids you yield today.

For every era must bow to the new,

And let fresh dreams in our nation brew.

Let the torch pass on with grace,

A beacon for this sacred place.

For in your twilight lies wisdom true,

Yet the people cry for visions anew.

Your years, though rich in storied lore,

Now call for peace—there is so much more.

The weight of power, the cost of pride,

Must give way so hope can once again abide.

The corridors of power, once steeped in art,

Now echo betrayal in every heart.

Those who sip from the same sacred cup,

Have shown their colors—they’ve betrayed, corrupt.

For every jaja tova ku main whispered in your ear,

Conceals the truth of diminishing cheer.

The law of returns has lost its shine;

It is time, Your Excellency, to resign.

Step aside with honor, let new voices rise,

To guide our land beneath honest skies.

A visionary awaits, with passion to mend,

A legacy of truth for our nation to transcend.

Remember the youth you once proudly led,

Their dreams, like embers, need to be fed.

Now is the hour to pass on the flame,

So our future may be free of blame.

Your Excellency, they are here—

Yet history demands the end of fear.

Rest your crown, let the new dawn unfurl,

For the legacy of a nation is built by every boy and girl.

The call is clear, the time is near,

To yield your seat and quell our tear.

For only then, with a heart unconfined,

Can we embrace a destiny truly redefined.
