Located in the vibrant city of Nairobi, Off Thika Road, the institution has become a beacon of academic excellence and a catalyst for change in the lives of countless students.

What started as a computer training institute for students who couldn’t afford college expenses is now a pacesetter in changing the lives of youths around the Kasarani and Roysambu region by offering them world-class diplomas and certificates in addition to skills and artisanry.

The graduation ceremony infused an atmosphere of pride, accomplishment and boundless possibilities.

As the exhilarating notes of “pomp and circumstance” filled the air, the event commenced, offering a platform for reflection on the remarkable journeys undertaken by Mahanaim graduating class and an opportunity to envision the bright future that lay ahead.

“I have no doubt that most of you, impacted with strong mindsets, will go out there and conquer, and some of you will go further to get your degree, masters and even Ph.D.,” Rev. Yohan Kim, chairman of the college, added in his remark address.

Amidst the sea of excitement and emotions, the graduation ceremony drew the attention of change-makers and politicians, with the Roysambu ward Member of the County Assembly, Peter Muriithi, taking the stage by a storm of his journey on how he won the seat by all odds.

He encouraged the graduands to not draw setbacks from barriers, being that he won the seat on independent candidature, an example of losing a nomination but still having the eye on the prize.

Their presence underlined the significance of Mahanaim Christian College’s commitment to providing a transformative educational experience capable of shaping the country’s future.

By actively engaging with these influential figures, the college showcased its commitment to bridging the gap between academia and the real world.

The event was also graced by esteemed individuals who have dedicated their careers to public service.

Their attendance and participation in the ceremony highlighted the importance they placed on higher education and the recognition of Mahanaim College as an influential institution dedicated to fostering academic and intellectual growth.

Their speeches resonated with the audience, emphasizing the need for collaboration between educational institutions, government bodies, and private enterprises to drive sustainable development and address the pressing issues facing the nation.

Immediate former Vice Chancellor of Kisii University, Prof. John Akama, graced the remarkable occasion urging the graduands to take the example of South Kore.

He recalled the journey back in 1975 when the then president of Kenya, the late Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, offered a grant to the country that, by having the right mindset, is now far richer than Kenya.

Conquerors

“You are going to be wealth creators and impactful role models. With these Christian traits instilled in you, you are going to conquer the world,” Prof. Akama commented.

“Being a Muslim student in a Christian institution, at first, I thought it would be difficult for me with teachers telling me to practice something out of my religion.

However, so far, I haven’t experienced anything of that sort; the students were also understanding and accommodative,” Ms. Hussein said.

Regardless of religious differences, Faiza found the college’s core values resonated with her own beliefs of compassion, respect and integrity.

She looks forward to enrolling immediately for a diploma course next semester.
